Meet the Founder & Executive Director
Sando Karneh
Sando Karneh is a naturalized U.S. citizen of Liberian descent, a dedicated philanthropist, and a seasoned financial services professional. He founded H.E.A.L., Inc. out of a deep belief in improving lives and creating opportunities for underprivileged children — a mission that continues to guide the organization today.
Sando's commitment to service is rooted in his own life story. Growing up in Liberia amid poverty and civil war, he witnessed firsthand the hardships that shape so many of the children H.E.A.L., Inc. now serves — experiences that instilled in him a lasting sense of compassion and purpose. In 1998, he arrived in the United States as a refugee and began rebuilding his life from the ground up, first through the Job Corps program and later through higher education. He went on to earn a B.S. in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and an M.S. in Management from Strayer University.
Today, with nearly two decades of experience in financial services, Sando serves as Vice President, Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley. He brings the same discipline, strategic insight, and integrity to H.E.A.L., Inc. that he applies in his professional career — ensuring the organization operates with transparency and purpose.
Sando lives in Lawrenceville, Georgia, with his family, where his personal journey from refugee to changemaker continues to inspire the mission of H.E.A.L., Inc.: to transform lives, one child at a time.
